Cast parts made of  heavy and light metals Castings

Castings

GVA Krefeld specializes in the production of a wide range of castings. Our expertise includes materials such as iron, cast steel, heavy metal castings and light metal castings. The respective alloys and structures offer a wide range of possible applications.

  • Iron with lamellar and spherulitic graphite, also low- and high-alloyed, as well as hematite

  • Cast steel, also alloyed

  • Heavy metal castings, bronze, brass and others

  • Light metal castings, aluminum and magnesium alloys

Hand-moulded castings as Small, medium and large castings

GVA Krefeld produces hand-molded castings in various sizes and weight categories. The selection ranges from gray cast iron to high-alloy cast steel.

  • Hematite

  • Cast iron with nodular graphite (EN-GJS, formerly “GGG”) -> max. 120 t unit weight

  • Gray cast iron (EN-GJL, formerly “GG”) -> max. 160 t unit weight

  • Cast steel, carbon steel and low-alloy -> max. 200 t unit weight

  • Cast steel, highly alloyed -> max. 40 t unit weight - non-ferrous metals

Machine moulded

GVA Krefeld produces a wide range of machine-molded castings, including investment castings using the lost wax process.

  • All steel, iron and metal alloys depending on the mold box sizes

  • Investment castings using the lost wax process:

  • All steel, iron and metal alloys max. 60 kg unit weight

Vacuum moulding process

GVA Krefeld uses the vacuum moulding process with gasifiable polystyrene models to process a wide range of steel, iron and metal alloys.

Mould casting

GVA Krefeld is a leading partner in the field of permanent moulds for processing materials such as steel, iron, aluminum, magnesium alloys and heavy metals.

Typical mould materials are:

  • Grey cast iron (EN-GJL, formerly „GG“)
  • Cast iron with nodular graphite (EN-GJS, formerly „GGG“)
